How to setup a Telegram socks5 proxy with TorGuard
TorGuard socks5 proxy is fully compatible with Telegram messenger on all platforms. Telegram is blocked in some countries and by using TorGuard socks5 proxy it is possible to regain full access to Telegram.
STEP 1)To setup Telegram with a socks5 proxy tap the settings icon in the bottom right.
STEP 2)
Tap the "Data and Storage" option in the Settings menu.

Scroll to the bottom and select "Use Proxy" under connection type:

On the Proxy screen select "SOCKS5".
For server enter: proxy.torguard.org or proxy.torguard.io or you can use a direct IP located here
Change the “Port” option to 1080 or 1085 or 1090 # Some ISP's by default block port 1080 so you may need to change to one of the others.
For username and password, be sure to enter your TorGuard VPN username and password.
